Its okay!

I missed Thursday's "Its okay" link up so I'm doing it now...

Its okay...

to cry during Teen Mom because Corey breaks my heart every week.

to sleep in on Saturdays because its the ONLY day to.

to text my mom instead of walking into the living room to talk to her.

to appreciate living in a small town, just because farms are beautiful covered in snow.

to fall asleep with the light on and wake up 6 hours later, too lazy to turn it off still.

to be a few days late on this link up.

Typical Sunday Morning for Me

As I was waking up this morning, I was thinking about how much I enjoy my Sunday mornings. About six months ago, I enjoyed my Saturday mornings, because I got to sleep in. I use to dread Sunday mornings, because they meant I had to wake up early for church. Now, I actually enjoy them. I try to get in bed before 12 on Saturday night, so I get enough sleep for Sundays.

I normally, set my alarm for 8:15, hit snooze a time or two. I'll finally get up between 8:30 and 8:45. I'll make my bathroom pit stop to pee and then I'll make my breakfast. Usually, an english muffin with Nutella on it and a protein shake. I'll come back to my bedroom and turn CMT on or listen to YouTube while I Facebook and read blogs. Around 9:30, I get up and take a shower and proceed to get ready for church. Usually we're out the door by 10:45.

After church, we usually eat lunch out town and then head home for a nap. Depending on what we have planned for that evening, depends on how long we sleep. :) Some nights, we have play practice, choir practice, or singing appointments. If that's the case, we normally head back to church around 6. It leads to a late dinner, but normally we're so full from lunch, it doesn't bother us. Once we're home, we start planning for the week.

Yes, Sundays are simple. But they're my favorite day of the week. I get to worship my Lord and Savior and spend the day resting.

Happy Sunday Ya'll!

Fitness Friday

the blessed life

My goal this week was to finally get back in the gym.
Success

I joined a women's only gym back in the summer and was working out 4 or 5 times a week. When the holidays came, I started slacking. I hadn't been back since November. I finally made an attempt to go back yesterday. I've been tracking calories for about two weeks now, via My Fitness Pal on my iPhone. I had started walking last week, which was a start to my fitness goals. It felt so good to be back in the gym yesterday.
Unfortunately, we have snow today and I won't be risking the drive to the gym, but I plan on going Monday. We are off from school for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so I plan on hitting it early. To my surprise, I was actually able to keep a steady pace on the treadmill and even accomplished some running. I was proud, because I hadn't worked out much at all. My arms are even sore today from the machines. I forgot the "high" I felt after a good work out.
I done okay eating this week. I know I could have done better, but I was extremely busy and I also had four Anatomy test this week, which lead to being stressed out. I loath to do better next week.

My goal for next week:
Track my calories each day and hit the gym at least 3 times!

New Years Eve

Hope everyone had a fabulous new years. I sure did. I spent the majority of the day just laying around. I finally took a shower and started getting ready. My plans for the night were still up in the air but I knew I wanted to go ahead and get ready. I got a text from one of my friends asking if I wanted to go eat Wasabi's in Knoxville and I told her of course. We headed to K-Town around 6. Once we got there, the wait was an hour and a half long, so we just goofed around in the car till time. Perfect time for a photo session. We enjoyed a spectacular meal and then headed back towards home. We got back in town around 11 and headed to Derek's house to play some pool and ping pong and wait for the ball to drop. Around 1, Jordyn and I headed back home. It was a great time well spent with great friends. I told Jordyn we may make it a tradition. :)

Friday Re-Cap

Today has been a great day. I slept in, woke up and started getting ready. Mom, Mariah, and I headed to Knoxville for the evening. Mom was in need of a pedi so Mariah and I tagged along. We ate Japanese at Kobe's which was delicious. Mariah and I stopped at my all time favorite ice cream shop; Marble Slab. Yummy. Now I'm just lazing around the house. Great relaxing, low key day! :)

Christmas Break... Need I say more?

I'm thankful for Christmas Break. This past semester about killed me. I didn't think we'd ever get to break. On top of a hectic semester, we've been super busy. We've had something every single weekend since before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, I've lazied around the house all day. I may or may not have slept till 12:30. I know, pure laziness. But that's okay... It's Christmas break. We're finishing up our shopping tomorrow and will start our baking tomorrow evening. I'm super excited to be spending Christmas with the best family ever! Back to my electric blanket and zzzz's!

Having to wake up early in the mornings. I NEVER get to sleep in anymore. With school 5 days a week, Saturday mornings spent at the gym, and Sunday mornings church, I officially don't get to "sleep in."

{trying to like}
Getting more rest at night. I have to sacrifice an hour or so at night, but I feel a little better in the mornings. I'm trying to have lights off by 11 at the latest. Last night I was out by 10!

{like}
That after for working for two months, every single Sunday, I am no longer at that job which means I'm now back in church. :)
